College of Marine Life Science

The College offers 13 doctoral programs in Marine Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology and Ecology etc., as well as 13 programs for Master’s Degree in the disciplines mentioned above. Among the academic disciplines of the College, Marine Biology is one of the national key disciplines. The College also houses Shandong Provincial Key Discipline in Genetics, two Provincial Key Labs of Marine Biotechnology, Marine Genetics and Breeding as well as UNESCO Chinese Center of Marine Biotechnology. The College has a post of professorship of Cheung Kong Scholars Programs in Marine Biology, a post of professorship of Taishan Scholars Programs in Marine Genetics and Breeding, 16 Ph.D. supervisors, 23 professors, 25 associate professors and four senior engineers.
