2011 CSC Scholarship Application
According to the regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China (hereinafter referred to as MOE), the requirements for 2011 Chinese Government Scholarship application are as following:
1. Recruitment for Full-time graduate students and PH.D
2. Recruit foreigners:
(1) Currently study or work abroad
（2）From Japan, Korea, Russia and other countries near China
3. Instruction Language:
All the programs are instructed in Chinese (students can take Chinese preparatory courses if Chinese level does not reach the criteria). Master’s majors instructed in English are International Trade and Multinational Corporation Management. PhD’s major instructed in English is Financial Management.
4. Quota: PhD 5, Master 19
5. Content and Criteria of Scholarship
(1) Study period is 3 years (students can apply for preparatory Chinese courses if the evel of Chinese cannot reach the criteria, the period is 1 year)
(2) Scholarship is full amount including: registration fee, tuition, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, fee for basic learning materials, accommodation fee on campus, comprehensive medical insurance, living allowance, instructor allowance, etc.
(3) International travel expenses are not included
(4) Living allowance is granted to the scholarship students monthly. Doctorial degree students RMB 2000/month, Master’s degree students RMB 1700/month
6. Requirements for Applicants:
(1) Applicants have to be the foreigners who obey Chinese laws and regulations and university disciplines, respect Chinese customs and habits and have good morality.
(2) Applicants for Master’s Degree program must have Bachelor’s degree certified by MOE and be under age of 35
(3) Applicants for Doctorial Degree program must have Master’s degree certified by MOE and be under age of 40
(4) Applicants have excellent scores and recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors
(5) Applicants have no other scholarships from Chinese government
7. Application Documents (please provide all the documents in Chinese or English and two photocopies of each)
Fill in and submit the application form online（http://laihua.csc.edu.cn, institution code of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) is 10173）first and then submit the printed version and the supporting documents required by Country Scholarship Council (CSC) to International Institute of Chinese Language and Culture (IICLC) office of DUFE.
(1) Submit notarized highest degree certificate. If applicants are still students in other schools or have a job, the verification of study or employment should be attached. Please attach notarized Verification in Chinese or English if the original version is not.
(2) Attach notarized transcript with translation in Chinese or English if the original version is not.
(3) Submit the transcript of HSK or BCT if applying for the program instructed in Chinese (not necessary), submit transcript of IELTS or TOEFL if applying for programs instructed in English (except mother language is English)
(4) Photocopy of “Physical Examination Record for Foreigner” (printed by Chinese quarantine authorities), original copies of Physical Examination Record for Foreigner must be carried when entering China
(5) Study and Research Scheme in China (at least 1000) in Chinese or English
(6) Recommendation letters in Chinese or English from two professors or associate professors
Note: All the application documents will not be returned.
