Brief Introduction of School of Mechanical Engineering

School of Mechanical Engineering is one of schools with longest history in University. It offers two bachelor-degree programs including mechanical design manufacturing & automization, and industrial engineering. There is one first-class discipline authorized to award master degrees for mechanical engineering, and four second-class disciplines authorized to award master degrees for mechanical manufacturing & automization, mechanical electronic engineering, mechanical design & theory, and mechanical design & theory. The school is also authorized to award engineering master degrees for mechanical engineering subjects. There are two Provincial Key Disciplines including equipment technology in Shenyang Sino-Russian Scientific and Technological Cooperation Base, one Provincial Key Lab for Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Equipment, one Provincial Engineering Center for High-speed Cutting Technique, one Provincial Productivity Promotion Center for Advanced Manufacturing Technology, one Key Lab for Numerical Control Machining, one Research Center for Lubricative Technology. 

The staff is composed of 99 full time teachers, including 24 professors, 33 associate professors. 43 of them have doctor degrees, 39 have master degrees and 3 of them are advisors for doctoral candidates. Student body is comprised of 2500 undergraduates and 160 postgraduates.
