Entrance Notice for Foreign Students and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Students for Undergraduate Program in GUCM

1. Register at the International College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Higher Education Mega Center within the registration time with the admission letter. If there are no special reasons, entrance qualifications will be canceled if one registers more than 15 days later than the decided date.

2. When registrating, foreign students shall bring forth the passports.

3. Fill in the Entrance Registration Form and hand in 10 pieces of photos (33*48mm). Those who have handed in the photos needn’t provide again.

4. Provide graduation certificate, score report and the original of the HSK certificate for examination.

5. Fees for paying (in RMB yuan):

Tuition fee, textbook fee and accommodation fee are paid on a yearly basis. For those drop outs, the fees will be managed according to related regulations.

(1) Registration fee: 400 yuan per person

(2) Textbook fee: 500 yuan per person (only for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students and overseas Chinese students. This is the fee received in advance. In the end of each academic year, the total fee for textbooks will be accounted. If it comes to more than 500 yuan, then more fee will be charged and if less, then the left out will be refunded.)

(3) Tuition fee:

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students and overseas Chinese students: 5,760 yuan per school year per person (13760 yuan for Associate Students, including 5760 yuan and 8000 yuan)

Foreign students for Chinese-taught undergraduate programs: 20,000 yuan per school year per person (Textbook fee is included)

Foreign students for English-taught undergraduate programs: 30,000 yuan per school year per person (Textbook fee is included)

(4) Accommodation fee:

Higher Education Mega Center	Double room: RMB 9,600 yuan per person per school year; RMB 19,200 yuan per school year if you occupy the room alone
	Single room: RMB 16, 000 yuan per person per school year

(5) Ways of paying:

A. Newly coming students can pay the fee at the registration cite or Finance Department of the school in cash or by card.

Only those debit cards and credit cards issued in commercial banks in mainland China with logo of “Union Pay” are valid for paying.

B. You can pay through bank transfer.

(While transferring through bank, please make sure the currency you transfer is equal to the fee you are entitled to pay in RMB. It is worth noting that your passport name and Chinese name if you have shall be specified in the remitter blank.)

C. You can pay the fee directly at the opening banks of our school.

While filling in the form, you shall specify title of fee you pay, your name, grade and Student Number. Keep the transfer sheet well and produce it for a new receipt at registration cite or Finance Department within one week of your paying.

6) Medical insurance

In accordance with regulation of Chinese Education Ministry, all foreign students shall purchase medical insurance during their study in China. The fees are specified as follows:

1) For those above the age of 45, the fee is around RMB 1000 yuan per year.

2) For those under the age of 45, the fee is around RMB 600 yuan per year.

6. If you study in Higher Education Mega Center (HEMC), it would be helpful with an all-purpose card. It costs RMB 100 yuan for purchase.

The card is an all-purpose rechargeable card with the function of identification, small-value electric wallet, Guangzhou bus and railway travel, which can be used in dining, traffic and recreation. The card is provided by the all-purpose card Company. Once you pay 100 yuan for the card, 70 yuan is at your disposal for use and 30 yuan is made for nominal fee, which is charged by the card company. In order to make it more convenient for you, our school has bought the cards from the company in advance. So if you want, you can buy it while registrating.

7. The bedding and other daily necessities are on your own responsibility.
