Dialogue between the Presidents from 18 US Universities and 82 Chinese Universities

As one of the series of academic events to celebrate the 115 anniversary of Southwest Jiaotong University, after the splendid seminars brought by famous academicians, the Sino-American University Presidents Forum was undertaken by SWJTU, to enhance the communication and understanding between the Sino-American University leaders, improve the exchange and cooperation between Sino-American universities, and push Sino-US cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation to a new scope and depth.

Shen Yang, the Deputy Director-General of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of MOE, Tu Wentao, the Director General of Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, Wu Zaofeng, the Deputy Secretary-General of China Education Association for International Exchange, Gu Liya, Chairman of the SWJTU Council, Chen Chunyang, President of SWJTU, He Yun’an, Vice Chairman of the SWJTU Council, Arlene Jackson, the Director of International Education of American Association of State Colleges and Universities, Phillip E. Borrowman, the President of Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, and other presidents and representatives from 18 US universities and 82 Chinese universities, in total 250 people, took part in this forum. The Forum was hosted by Fan Pingzhi, Vice President of SWJTU.
