Guideline for Registration1.You are required to register at the Office Building of the School of Chinese as a Second Language (SCSL). Read the STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED and FIRST - WEEK ARRANGEMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS and the other notices before starting the registration process. Understanding the overall timetable and procedures will facilitate your registration process.
2.It is required that tuition should be paid in Renminbi (RMB) cash or use POS machine with your RMB account. You may have your money changed at the Agricultural Bank or the Industrial and Commercial Bank on campus (please refer to the campus map for locations).
Expenses for students studying at the SCSL are as follows:
Tuition (non-degree students): RMB8, 700/semester; RMB17, 400/academic year;
Tuition (Undergraduate students): RMB9, 100/semester;
RMB18, 200/academic year;
Application Fee: RMB400/ only for new students;
Teaching Materials: About RMB300/semester;
Note:
(1) For expenses for students of other categories, please refer to the PROSPECTUS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.
(2) In line with the regulations, international students studying at the university will have to purchase the group medical insurance before they are allowed to register:
RMB300/person/semester.
3.After finishing the registration process, students studying at the SCSL will get a stamped Registration Card or show the Student ID Card (for the former Chinese undergraduate students of the SCSL only), and students studying other subjects will get a Notice for Attending Class. With the Card/Notice, you could purchase text-books and attend class at the department/school that you are affiliated with.
4.The office hour during the registration is 8:30 – 12:00, 14:00 – 17 : 00. Meals are available for students and their parents at the nearby restaurant of the Zi Jingyuan Hotel or other restaurants on campus.
5.There will be lots of people in the Office Building of the SCSL during the registration period. Please take care of your personal belongings. Should you lose your luggage, you should bear your responsibility for yourselves. If you would like to have your luggage taken care of temporarily, please approach the teachers in Room 101.
