Vice President Ruan Shuangchen Met with Namibian Guests

On Aug. 17, afternoon, President of Namibia Delegation for the 26th Summer Univerisade, Mr. Werner Ednund Jeffery and Mr. Evaristus, Development Officer of the University of Namibia visited Shenzhen University. The guests were met with SZU Vice President Professor Ruan Shuangchen. Mr. Jeffery expressed his gratitude to Professor Ruan for the short-notice visit. He said Namibia has a deep friendship with China for the support that China has given to the country for its independence and development. Mr. Evaritus introduced his young university to Professor Ruan, and he hoped Shenzhen University could give support for the internationalization of the university. Professor Ruan also introduced Shenzhen University to the guests in the aspects of discipline construction, international cooperation, and international student education. He extended his welcome to Namibian guests and wished a success for their athletes in the Universiade. He also welcomed Namibian students to come to Shenzhen University to pursue their degrees. The dean of SZU’s International Office attended the meeting.
