Under the Shenyang Medical university there are 4 divisions (Medical Basic Dept., Social Science Dept., Foreign Language Dept., and Sports Dept.), 3 departments (Department of Clinical Medicine, Department of Preventive Medicine, and Department of Health Management), 2 centers (IT Center, and Laboratory Animals Research Center) and 2 subordinate institutes Nursing college and Optic Science college, and also Affiliated Health college and Adult college. Now the university may offer 8 specialties for bachelor degree program, they are Clinical Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Ophthalmology and Optometry, Medical Imaging, Medical Examination, Nursing, Anesthesiology and Public Administration; 8 orientations for bachelor degree program: Clinical Medicine (Medical English, Psychological Health, Medical Insurance, Health Transmission, Medical Information) and Preventive Medicine (Sanitary Supervision, Disease Prevention and Control, Nutrition & Food Hygienics); 11 specialties for advanced vocational diploma program, they are Clinical Pharmacology Application,Applied Skills in Ophthalmology and Optometry, Medical Examination Technology, Dental Technology, Advanced Nursing, Medical Cosmetology, Medical Experiment Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Community Health, Medicine Marketing.
