The First Sino-Foreign Basketball Tournament organized by CIE
The first
Sino-Foreign Basketball Tournament, organized by the College of International
Education, began on October 26th on the main campus. The Graduate
College, the First Clinical Medical College, Vocational and Technical College
and the College of Pharmacy were invited to participate.
Through mixing of
the NBA and CBA formats there are two rounds in this tournament. In the first
round, the CIE basketball team will play a friendly match with the four
above-mentioned college teams. In the second round, try-outs will be held and
through the evaluation of the comprehensive performance, 22 foreign student
players will be assigned to various teams. Meanwhile, the CIE team will
represent our university in the "Silk Road Cup", shortly after the international
basketball tournament. The new format (NBA and CBA formats) ensures exciting
games.
This First Sino-Foreign Basketball Tournament proves that CIE is
striving for innovative campus activities, which also serve as a platform for
Chinese and foreign culture. This new form of competition will attract Chinese
and foreign students to participate actively and will offer them a chance for
mutual communication and understanding. This basketball tournament will not only
enrich the cultural aspect in our university, but will also further promote
multicultural blending.
