College of Computer Science
The College of Computer Science, Shenyang Aerospace University (SAU), has 4 Teaching and Researching Offices, 1 Experiment Centre and a Key Provincial Laboratory (including seven professional laboratories), at a total area of about 2,300 square meters. The College is in possession of a variety of network equipments, workstations, computers and more than 700 experimental systems /sets, which is valued at about 650 million Yuan. The experiment centre of the college was named the "double base" qualified laboratory.
Presently, the College has "Computer Science and Technology" and "Network Engineering", two undergraduate majors and an undergraduate orientation in "Computer Science and Technology (Embedded Systems Orientation)”. The Computer Science and Technology is a modeling major of SAU, which began to enroll students of the first batch in Level B in Liaoning since 2005. The college was qualified in awarding master degree in 2001. Now, it has “Computer Applications Technology” and “Computer Software and Theory”, two postgraduate majors and an authorizing field in Computer Technology Engineering, among which, Computer Applications Technology was named a Provincial Key discipline in 2002 and Computer Software and Theory was named a Provincial key supported discipline.
Presently, the College has 54 teaching staffs, including 42 lecturers, 6 professors and 15 associate professors, among whom 6 hold a Ph.D. Now, the College has more than 700 undergraduates, 130 graduate students, and more than 90 engineering masters.
More than 60 subjects in national, provincial and ministerial level were undertaken by the college over the past 5 years. Also, more than 300 Thesis were published in international academic journals and conference reports, among which, about 80 articles were included in SCI, EI, and ISTP retrieval.
