The Economics & Management School

The Economics & Management School of Beijing University of Technology (Beijing Tech) is a rapidly developing school. Its strength is attributed to Beijing Tech’s cross-cutting advantages of inter-disciplinary development in science and engineering studies and development. Now the school has gradually set up itself as an institution integrated with teaching and research, economics, management and law studies. At present, the school has about 115 academic staff, of which 70% hold master or PhD degrees and 60% of them are professors or associate professors. The teaching range of the school comprises of 9 specialties, covering economics, management and law. In addition to the undergraduate programmes, the school also offers double degree programmes, postgraduate programmes and PhD programmes .

The school is the second largest school in the Beijing Tech in student numbers with more than 1300 full-time for undergraduate, 450 full-time and 200 part-time for postgraduate and 90 more PhD candidates. The school also enrolls every year a number of foreign students to study undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

In recent years, the school has mounted its efforts in teaching and scientific research and established a batch of computer-aided simulation laboratories and research facilities. With the increasing research funding and research accomplishments, the School has opened up itself a broad vista for further development.

To develop international cooperation and exchanges is another important orientation of the school. We seek and promote various kinds of academic and collaborative relations with universities and institutions across the world.

The Economics & Management School will sustain its developing momentum and will contribute its due efforts to the higher education in economics and management science in China.
