The College of Environmental and Energy Engineering focuces its research in fields of environmental science and engineering, power engineering and engineering thermophysics, chemistry and chemical engineering, and many other fields. There are the Institute of Environmental Energy Technology, the Institute of Environmental Engineering, the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the Department of Environmental Science, the Department of Automotive Engineering, the Department of Refrigeration & Cryogenics Engineering and the Chemical Experiment Teaching Center of Beijing Education Commission.
Currently, the college has 119 teaching staff including 23 professors, 37 associate professors and senior engineers. The college covers an area of 13,000 m2 and is equipped with many advanced facilities. Professor Liu Zhongliang is dean of the college.
The college boasts of a Key Laboratory of Enhanced Heat Transfer and Energy Conservation of Ministry of Education (also the Key Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Energy Conversion of Beijing Education Commission) and a Key Laboratory of Water Quality Science and Water Environment Recovery Engineering of Beijing Education Commission.
