Message from the President

Higher Education in China has been developing rapidly, especially the 1,400 regional universities and colleges, which accounts for 90% of the total Chinese Higher-education establishments, have become a main force in promoting China’s higher education, and now play active roles both in the development of regional economy and in the progress of the society. Our university is actively exploring effective channels to serve the development of the economy and society in the Capital, and it innovates to cultivate integrated personnel with creativity and strong hand-on competence.

Every bit of our past progress has inseparably depended on the tremendous support from Beijing Municipal Government and the efforts of our hard-working faculty and students. I sincerely hope that all our friends and alumni both at home and aboard will continue to care and support the development of our university. We will work together and strive to create a campus with diversified culture, to upgrade the university to a multidisplinary, and to a first-class teaching-research institution in China, and at the same time, to contribute by fulfilling our role in the splendid plans for the “New Beijing, Great Olympics”.
