Swiss/Chinese Migration and Cultural Events Successfully Held on CUPL Campus

To develop an international perspective for the teachers and students of Chinese University of Politics and Law and create a good cultural atmosphere on the campus, ,the ‘Sino - Swiss Migration and Cultural Events’  was successfully held at the Changping campus on March 9, 2011 co-hosted  by our university and the Embassy of Switzerland. The theme for this event was based on ‘Immigration and Cultural Integration’ and included a ‘Sino – Swiss seminar on immigration law’ (‘Swiss and Chinese Migration Law Seminar’), a slide show, a photo competition and other activities.

The Chairman of the Uniersity Council  Shi Yajun and the Vice President of CUPL Gao Huanyue, met at 10:00 am with the Swiss ambassador to China, Blaise Godet and the representatives of The University of Lucerne, Switzerland, along with his delegation in the VIP room of the administration building. Shi Yajun warmly welcomed the ambassador and the representative of The University of Lucerne on behalf of our university and he also delivered a brief and basic introduction of our position in education, features, advantages and the outstanding achievements of international education in recent years at our university.  Blaise Godet, in thanking Shi Yajun and Gao Huanyue for their warm reception, expressed wishes for the further strengthening of  Sino-Swiss culture, education and science and technology exchanges. Shi Yajun and Blaise Godet both spoke of their great pleasure at seeing the ‘Swiss and Chinese Migration Cultural Events’  being held at our university and they hoped that both our university and the Swiss university would have even stronger exchanges and cooperation in various areas such as teaching, research, personnel and so on.
