School of Chinese Materia Medica

 School of Chinese Materia Medica, founded in 1958, is one of the earliest institutions in China to offer higher education in the field of Chinese Materia Medica. Besides the undergraduate programs, the school provides master's and PhD programs in Chinese Materia Medica and Pharmaceutics. Furthermore, the school servers as a leading research base, specifically in the areas of Chinese medicinal resources, effective composition investigation and evaluation of compound preparations of Chinese medicine, development of new Chinese drugs and Chinese Materia Medica information engineering.

The school comprises Department of Pharmacognosy, Department of Chinese Medicinal Resources, Department of Chinese Medicinal Chemistry, Department of Chinese Medicinal Pharmacology, Department of Chinese Medicinal Pharmaceutics, Department of Chinese Medicinal Processing, Department of Clinical Application of Chinese Materia Medica, Department of Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis of Chinese Materia Medica.
