Study Chinese Online with a Scholarship

Founded in 1951, Donghua University (DHU) is one of the 75 universities under the direct management of the Ministry of Education of China. It provides various popular non-degree Chinese language programs on its downtown campus in the city of Shanghai. In 2018, the Chinese language education was accredited by EAQUALS (Evaluation and Accreditation of Quality Language Services).

In recent years, DHU enrolls over 4800 international students from nearly 140 countries annually. It has become a popular destination for many international students who intend to learn Chinese language.

DHU now offers you the opportunity to study Chinese language online with the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. It allows you to study in a full-time, online-taught program, in the Spring Semester of 2021. You can read all about it below! (the number of available scholarships is limited)






Name：General Chinese Program (online track)
Duration：March 15 to July 16, 2021 (2021 spring semester)
Class time：From Mon. to Fri., 3 hours per day, 9:00-12:00 or 13:00-16:00 Beijing Time



Name：International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

Scholarship Coverage：Students granted by this scholarship will join the above mentioned program with the full tuition fee be exempted.






 1. Applicant’s qualifications

• Non-Chinese citizens

• Between the ages of 16 to 35 (as of March 1, 2021)

• Be in good physical and mental condition

• Excellent in academic performance and keep good conduct record at the home institute; committed to the Chinese language education and related work in the future

• Having already received the HSK certificate (at least level 3 with a score above 180). Priority will be given to those who can provide an HSKK certificate. Any of these certificates must be obtained within the recent two years.

2. Application Deadline: Jan. 15, 2021

* This online program does not come with the possibility to apply for a Chinese student visa or on-campus accommodation.
