"Welcome to the Department of Mathematics.

Our goal in the Maths Department is to provide quality teaching and to create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable enough to ask questions and seek out help when needed. Our mathematics team is comprised of members with a wide range of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and nationalities who always strive to help and support each student to be successful during their time at SBC. "

The Department of Mathematics provides support courses to students following either the Business and Engineering degree programs at SBC.

Classes take the form of lectures and tutorials, with additional ICT practical classes for students in the first year. A variety of teaching methods are used with the aim of providing each student with the subject knowledge, analytical skills and ability to apply mathematics in real-life situations.

The Department of Mathematics has thirteen members, all of whom have experience of UK systems and the requirements of a multi-cultural student body.
