On September 21, 2024, the "One Day in Shanghai" City Walk Welcoming activity sponsored by the International Student Office was successfully held. This activity aims to help "newly arrived" international students quickly get familiar with the campus and the surrounding environment, integrate into the study life in Shanghai, eliminate the strangeness, and build a platform for Chinese and foreign students to communicate with each other and promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning. On that day, with the cool autumn wind in Shanghai, 65 international students from 26 countries, under the leadership of Chinese and foreign senior students, formed 7 teams, divided into 3 routes, followed the captain through the streets, felt the classical and modern in the old alley, understood the tolerance and openness of Shanghai, and enjoyed the unique charm of Shanghai culture.

Starting from Chifeng Road, Hongkou, about an hour's drive later, we came to the first stop - Song Qingling's former residence, which is located in 1843 Huaihai Middle Road, 28 hundred years of camphor trees surrounded a secluded small world, the collection of more than 10,000 precious cultural relics witness Song Qingling for the country and the people, the struggle of life.

Mr. Zhou, the tour guide, explained to the students a collection of souvenirs from all over the world, read the life story of Soong Ching Ling, and admired the exquisite design of the room. Everyone took a group photo in front of the Wukang Building, which is located at the intersection of the Fifth Street and is like a giant ship's "Internet red". Zhou told us that the building's original name is Normandy Apartments, designed by Hungarian architects; After it was taken over by the Shanghai People's Government, it was renamed Wukang Building because of its resemblance to the beautiful scenery of Wukang. All kinds of shops hidden in the streets have a unique style and the old brand is interesting, all kinds of buildings, all kinds of fashionable pedestrians, bicycles, electric vehicles, cars busy shuttle, Shanghai uncle uncles and aunts, walking dogs, walking children residents, taking photos of tourists interweave, or sit or stand outside the cafe, leisurely conversation crowd... Eat and drink enough, our journey is still continuing, we meet to the last station - Qinhuangdao pier. At the beginning of the lantern, everyone boarded the cruise ship in order to feel the cool autumn wind blowing from the Huangpu River and enjoy the charm of the magic city. The microwave on the river and the tall buildings standing beside the river are bright lights. The students took pictures of each other, which sealed the short but beautiful moment.
