First, China has a larger circle of friends in education and has carried out educational cooperation and exchanges with other countries in the world. More than 85 countries have incorporated Chinese into their national education systems, and the number of international Chinese learners and users has exceeded 200 million. In the international cooperation to build more than 30 "Luban workshop", very popular.

Second, Chinese education has become more attractive. Students from 195 countries and regions are studying in China. Among them, the proportion of graduates has increased to more than 60%.

Third, China's contribution to education has increased. China cooperates with UNESCO and many international organizations around the world.

Wu Yan pointed out that in the next step, we will focus on two big articles:

The first big article, unswervingly "bring in".

First, at the school level, we should make effective use of world-class educational resources and innovative elements, introduce the best foreign universities, especially universities of science and technology, and cooperate with them to carry out high-level Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.

Second, at the level of international students, strengthen the brand and capacity building of "Study in China", especially "double first-class" universities, attract overseas talents to study in China and exchange in China, and improve the ability to train and gather important outstanding talents in the world.

Third, in terms of youth exchanges, we will open 800 key international summer school programs in the next three years, invite 50,000 young people from the United States to China in the next five years, invite 10,000 young people from France to China in the next three years, and double the number of young people from Europe to China. This will enable young people in China and around the world to have in-depth interactions and further strengthen the foundation for people-to-people exchanges.

The second big article, leisurely "go out". We will further enhance the international appeal, influence and shaping power of Chinese education.

First, in terms of higher education, promote higher education to go overseas, adhere to the policy of "supporting study abroad, encouraging return, coming and going freely, and playing a role", and encourage students to study abroad. We will continue to improve the national comprehensive platform for overseas students, especially to promote engineering education and medical education, which have comparative advantages in the world, to run schools overseas, so that the professional standards of relevant disciplines can "go abroad".

Second, in terms of vocational education, we will encourage vocational education to go overseas. We will hold well the World Conference on the Development of Vocational and Technical Education, the World Vocational College Skills Competition and the World Vocational and Technical Education Exhibition. It is necessary to set up the first World vocational and technical Education Award, establish the World Vocational and Technical education Development Alliance, promote high-quality vocational education cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, and support Chinese vocational colleges to conduct overseas education in an orderly manner.

Third, in terms of digital education going to the sea, we will promote China's digital education going to the sea steadily, and successfully hold the World Digital Education Conference, World MOOCs and Online Education Conference. Develop and strengthen the World Digital Education Alliance, publish the global digital education Development index and demonstration cases, promote the international version of the smart education public service platform to the world, let China's high-quality MOOCs resources go abroad, and let China's digital education steadily occupy the commanding heights and have the right to speak in the next round of development of world education.

Wu Yan revealed that Chinese universities have led the launching of two international scientific programs, the Deep Time Digital Earth program with the participation of scientists from more than 100 countries, and the Negative Ocean Emissions program with the participation of scientists from more than 30 countries, both of which are great contributions to mankind and will provide Chinese solutions to solve the common challenges faced by mankind.
