This program offers international students the chance to delvep into learning about China’s economy, philosophy, history, culture, education, the development of contemporary Chinese society, and other fields, as well as a comparative perspective to other countries.
The program will consist of three main focuses:
1)Chinese Philosophy and History
2)Chinese Society and Economy
3)Chinese Language, Culture, and Literature
The program will have the benefits of traditional academic disciplines in addition to a variety of teaching methods including case studies, academic discussions, social practices, and research to foster students’ ability to analyze problems within different fields in China, and assist students with future work experience in China. Using China’s vast domestic resources, students will have hands-on research experience, investigating all aspects of China, including historical and cultural, social, economic, and contemporary issues.

Tuition: 23, 000 RMB per year
Scholarship
Candidates can apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship which includes free tuition, free accommodation and a monthly stipend of 1,700 RMB. Candidates can also apply for some other scholarships at Nanjing University.
Program Requirements for MA Degree
This MA Program will be 2-3 years. Total credits for graduation: at least 32 credits, of which there will be: 8 compulsory courses, 2 credits per course, for a total of 16 credits; at least five electives, 2-3 credits per course, for a total of 10-15 credits; and 4 additional credits for completion of a MA thesis.
Curriculum
From the high-caliber academic resources and vast disciplines of Nanjing University including from culture, history, philosophy, political, social, and economic fields, the Institute for International Students has organized a 16 credit curriculum to be taught in English, by relevant Nanjing University professors, in addition to inviting experts and professionals from at home and abroad.
