Course Description


Applied psychology is the use of psychological principles and theories to overcome problems in real life situations. Mental health, organizational psychology, business management, education, health, product design, ergonomics, and law are just a few of the areas that have been influenced by the application of psychological principles and findings. Some of the areas of applied psychology include clinical psychology, counseling psychology, evolutionary psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, legal psychology, neuropsychology, occupational health psychology, human factors, forensic psychology, engineering psychology, school psychology, sports psychology traffic psychology, community psychology, medical psychology.


This course is an exploration of the expanding field of Applied Psychology. The framework of inquiry incorporates an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the current state of the field and its career possibilities. The principal focus is on applying scientific and humanistic perspectives derived from psychology to individual, social, and institutional opportunities.


1. Aged 18 or above


2. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.


3. Hold a Bachelor's degree.

Photocopy of notarized foreigner physical examination record (for durations of study over 6 months)

With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included


3. Passport photo 

A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant


4. Bachelor's degree diploma 

Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

From professor or associate professor or equivalents
