About College of Physics and Electronic Information Engineering

College of Physics and Electronic Information Engineering (CPEIE) at Wenzhou University (WZU) was founded in 1977. It is home to Department of Information and Communication Engineering, Department of Physics, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronic Science and Technology, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Department of Network Engineering, and Experiment Center. CPEIE is also the host of National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Electrical and Digitalize Design, Photovoltaic Micro-Network Engineering Center for Machinery Industry, Key Laboratory of Low-voltage Electrical Apparatus Intelligent Technology in Zhejiang Province, Low-voltage Electrical Technology Innovation Service Platform in Zhejiang Province and other research platforms.
In recent years, staffs at CPEIE have undertaken more than 100 national-level and provincial research projects, such as Key Projects of National Science and Technology Development, Natural Science Foundation of China, National '973 Plan' subproject, and published more than 600 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, including 400 papers in SCI, EI, ISTP journals. CPEIE has been awarded top-level award twice by the Ministry of Education and achieved 2 provincial top-level awards, and 4 provincial second-level awards. Students at CPEIE have obtained more than 150 awards above provincial level in different Student Discipline Contests, including more than 10 of national-level and 40 of national-level institute, and undertaken 40 of provincial technology innovation projects, and 200 projects founded by the university.

About the Program
The Communication Engineering program is designed for those who may wish to pursue a successful career in applications of information and communication engineering, and to cultivate engineering professionals in the field of information and communication engineering possessing technical abilities for a qualified engineer, and explore advanced educational opportunities or senior engineer qualifications in the field of information and communication engineering. 

Education objectives

The program is aim to train our students to master broad fundamental knowledge and theories of communication network, and to gain better capabilities in processing and analysis of communication and information meeting social needs with a wide range of adaptability and competitiveness, and to become senior talent engaged in research, development, production, management, maintenance and technical support in application of communication signal and information processing, communication engineering, in 5 years after graduation.

Digital Circuit and Logic Design, Communication Principle, Data Communication and Computer Networks, Algorithms and Data Structures, Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technology, Information Theory and Coding, Signals and Systems, Mobile Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Multimedia Communications, Optical Communications and Optical Networks, Communication Electronic Circuits, Antennas and Microwave Technology, Radio Frequency Identification Technology, Embedded System Principle and Application, etc.
