Wenzhou University's College of Physical Education was founded in 1995 and is the strongest sports faculty in south Zhejiang in terms of its faculty resources. It has 60 faculty and staff members, among whom 8 are referees at the national level. The college offers 2 bachelor degree programs (Physical Education, Social Sports), 2 master degree programs (Theory of Sports Pedagogy and Training, Curriculum and Methodology) and 1 professional master program (Education - Physical Education track). It houses bases for State Physical Culture Administration's sports culture development, Zhejiang Provincial Sports Industry Special Job Training and is a key lab for health and fitness in Wenzhou. The college houses a Human Movement Science test center covering 2,560 square meters, 2 sports complexes, 1 tennis hall, 3 standard football fields, 3 standard track-and-field area. It is equipped with advanced experimental instruments and supportive learning environment. It ranks 39 out of over 200 higher education institutions with PE major in China and the employment rate of its graduates scores over 95%.
