Applied Physics

The major is designed to train professionals with basic physics theories and methods, applied physics theories, a strong mathematical basis, photoelectric display technology or computational physics, capable of teaching, applied research, technology development, and senior management in the field of physics, physical electronics and related fields.
Relying on the provincial-level key discipline - Theoretical Physics and Modern Physics Institute, it has nano-technology research centre, and laboratories of information technology - microelectronics laboratory by the local and central government, as the basis of professional practice and teaching platform. It has overseas PhD teaching staff. There are 7 professors (including 2 of Chongqing Municipality "322 key personnel project", at level 2, 2 doctoral tutors), 6 associate professors and senior engineers. There are 2 specialties: photoelectric display technology and computational physics.
