The major is designed to train high-quality interdisciplinary talents with basic theory of life science and computer science, who can analyze and interpret biological data with mathematics, computer science and life science with an advantage in biological databases. Graduates are qualified for such positions as bioinformatics research, technology development, teaching and management, who are also talents of postgraduates in bioinformatics and related subjects such as the life sciences, computer science.
