The major is to train professionals with the basic knowledge of the life science and biotechnology, who are qualified for such position as research, technology development, production management and administration in the area of industry, medicine, food, environmental protection, landscaping, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery.
The major combines science of information, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and computer in the context of the information technology, forming its own characteristics in research and education. It pays much attention to basic knowledge and practical ability, which results in a three-in-one model of education - teaching, research, and production from the traditional training model.
