Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technology

Field and wave are the basic forms of electromagnetic phenomenon and the main carrier of information in radio and information technology research and application. The discipline involves the electromagnetic theory and the microwave millimeter wave technology and its applications. Its researches are mainly oriented in the generation, transmission, radiation and scattering theory and technology of electromagnetic waves, the theory, analysis, simulation, design and application of microwave, millimeter wave and light wave circuits and systems, as well as the cross-disciplinary contents of electromagnetic environment, optoelectronics, electromagnetic compatibility, etc. Over the years, guided by national military and economic applications , the discipline has formed its relatively salient characteristics and a strong academic atmosphere in studies of the antenna theory and technology, electromagnetic scattering and inverse scattering, electromagnetic invisible technology, microwave and millimeter-wave theory and its application in the mobile communications, computational electromagnetics and electromagnetic Simulation technology, microwave acoustics, guided wave optics and optical integration technology. In recent years the research staff have undertaken over 10 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation, the major projects for National Plan of Action for Education Revitalization and the state's major 863 projects, published more than 100 papers in the core academic journals at home and abroad, nearly 100, about 40 of which are selected by SCI, EI, and ISTP retrieval system.
