"Detection Technology and Automation Devices" is an integrated discipline with physics, chemistry, mathematics, electronic technology, computer technology, transmission and process control technology. It orients the development toward intelligentization, integration, Internetization. In response to this trend, the discipline has made fruitful efforts. In recent years, it has won 7 provincial awards, 1 outstanding educational achievement award and 1 outstanding teaching material award. It also has published 4 academic books, 5 textbooks, more than 170 academic papers (75 are selected by SCI / EI / Retrieval/ ISTP retrieval system), obtained 6 utility model and 5 invention patents, applied for 8 2 utility model and 8 invention patents, with a total research fund 0f over 20 million yuan.
The discipline is equipped with a Network Control Technology and Intelligent Instrumentation key laboratory, automotive electronics and embedded systems engineering and technical research centers of colleges and universities in Chongqing, an t automatic control technology key laboratory of the Ministry of Information Industry Post, and has co-established with the Four Joint Group of China the "Four Joint- Group- CQUPT R&D Center", in building "the Intelligent Instrument and Control Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center". And at the same time, it actively participates in international cooperation by building the "Sino-South Korea (Chongqing) Embedded Software and System R&D Centers " with the Konkuk University , Xian Wen University and Ren He University of South Korea. and by selecting outstanding students for free study in South Korea. It also has established with joint efforts of Shenyang Institute of Automation of CAS, the Four Joint Group of China " ICT Joint Research Centre", " Chongqing Communication Technological Transformation Center of CAS" and is affiliated into the core within the national EPA research team. It has set up an automated control laboratory with the United States Luokeweier (Rockwell), and conduct joint scientific research and personnel training with the ESSEX University of the United Kingdom, the Sydney University of Technology of Australia currently.
The discipline has a rationally - structured team of teachers with strong teaching and researching abilities, innovative spirit and efficiency with its own characteristics and obvious advantages in research. It is positioned in the front in the west China in terms of its the overall power and has exerted certain impact both at home and abroad with some of research results at the international forefront. For example, its "EPA standard", made with the discipline as the major part, has been released by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) as IEC / PAS 62409 and become China's first international standard with independent intellectual property right in automation control. And this standard, together with FF, will become a subset of the industrial Ethernet international standard - IEC61784-2 and the international fieldbus standard - IEC 61158 (the 4th revisedversion).
