Program Description

Electrical Engineering and Automation This field of study cultivates students to be proficient in technologies related with the production, transmission, application, measurement and management of electrical energy. Main fields of specialization in Electrical Engineering and Automation are: electric power systems and automation, high voltage techniques and information processing，motor control，circuit systems and electromagnetic engineering，electronics, electronic monitoring and diagnosis, etc.
Main courses include Mathematics, Physics, Principle of Circuits, Complex Analysis, Electrical Machinery, Fundamentals of Analog Electronics, Fundamentals of Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, Signals and Systems, Principles of Control System, Operations Research, Computer Principle & Application, Electromagnetic Measurements, Electromagnetic Fields, Principle of Optimization, Analysis of Power Systems, Electric Drive and Control, and High Voltage Engineering etc.
Application Schedule
On-line application: March 1 – March16, 2012.

Hardcopies of application materials due: March 19 - March 30, 2012.

Entrance Examination
(1) Subjects of Written Examination for Science, Engineering and Management Programs: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

(2) Subjects of Written Examination for Law, Humanities and Social Sciences Programs: Basic Chinese Language, Chinese Writing, General Knowledge, and English.

(3) Subjects of Written Examination for Arts and Design Programs: Chinese Writing, General Knowledge, Sketch, Quick Sketch, and Color Painting.

Extra exams are requested for some programs: Sketch for Architecture Program, Oral Test for English and Japanese Programs, and Mathematics for Experimental Class of Social Sciences and Psychology.

Interview may also be requested by some department/schools.
Date of Entrance Examination
Written Examination: May 12 - 13, 2012

The applicants to be interviewed will be notified after written exams.

Entry Requirements

1. Foreign citizens under 25 and in good health
2. Graduation from senior high school;
3. HSK Band 6 / new HSK Band 5 or above.

Application Materials

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Academic transcript of high school

5.  HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Level 3 or above

6.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

7. A notarization of guarantor in China
Only for applicants under 18 years old.
