Study Duration

6 years' Program include:

1 year foundation course (on campus courses),

2 year basic medicine (on campus courses),

2 year clinical medicine (on campus and hospital courses),

Degree Awarded

On completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations successfully, international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by

Capital Medical University (CMU)if they meet the degree regulations of Capital Medical University (CMU). The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).

Career

After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine. According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first. A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities. Except this, one can also start his own clinic or pursue study for master's degree.

Fee Structure

Tuition Fee: RMB 50,000/year

Accommodation fee: RMB 11000/year

Application, admission and registration fee: RMB 14800

(one time payment at reporting time)

Insurance Fee: RMB 600/year

Medical check-up: RMB 600

Dorm deposit: RMB 2000 (will be refunded once the dorm fee is paid)

Resident permit fee: RMB 400 (If student submits it by himself)

RMB 500 (If visa company submits it)

Notes :

1. The fee should be paid within two weeks after the arrival of student at the University.

2. From 2nd year and onwards students have to pay according the rules and regulations of the university.

3. The fee can be paid in cash, by draft or can be sent directly to the University account.

4. If students decide to transfer or withdraw, the paid fees will not be returned or transferred.

5. All the fees above are paid in RMB (unless specified otherwise).

Entry Requirements

1. 18-40 years old, healthy;

2. Willing to obey Chinese laws and regulations and regulations of Capital Medical University;

3. No requirements for students from English-speaking countries;students from English-teaching countries should hand in relevant proof; TOEFL 550 and IELTS 5.5 for students from English as a second language countries;

4. High school graduate.

Application Materials

1. Photocopy of valid passport

With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2. Passport-sized photo

A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3. Graduation certificate of high school

Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4. Academic transcript of high school

5. Financial guarantee letter

Photocopy of the signatured financial guarantee letter from his/her financial guarantor to prove their solvency.

6. Personal Statement

Personal Statement with the applicant's signature, written in Chinese or in English. You can download a template or sample from here.

7. A photocopy of the pre-medical (FSc.) certificate(Optional).
