Chinese Language Education

Throughout the past 5 years of teaching Chinese language to foreign students, China Jiliang University has educated more than 400 students from over 20 countries. Returning home, many of those students have taken responsibilities in highly important positions in their respective countries in political, economic, cultural, or educational fields. Many of them have benefited a great deal from learning the Chinese language and culture in our school.

With foreign students ever increasing in numbers, China Jiliang University established the Center for Chinese Language Education in 2012.  Since 2012 the university has developed and accumulated advanced teaching methods through active exchange programs with the University of Regina in Canada, and the Soonchunhyang University in South Korea.

The university was designated by the Central Government as a testing site of Chinese proficiency, HSK, and as a testing site of the Certificate of Chinese Language Instructor for International Students. Every month, HSK test takes place at our university. The university boasts advanced modern facilities with powerful teacher group, since it has 10 Chinese language teachers, 3 of whom are Professors. All of them are at the teaching front in The College of Chinese Language and Culture.

Our Chinese Language Courses are student-centered, which aim to stimulate students’ learning initiative. Meanwhile, to make the process of learning Chinese more attractive, our course includes various activities with traditional Chinese culture, such as calligraphy, Tai Ji, Peking Opera and so on.
