(1). Mandarin
Chinese grammar: Basic grammar used in writing and reading in Chinese.
Spoken mandarin: Daily used words and expressions for survival in China.
(2). Business Courses
a. The Business Environment in China
This course introduces the political,social,economic,cultural and historical factors which influence the manner in which business is conducted in China. The impact of Maoist, Dengist and contemporary politicians’ policies are discussed. Emphasis is placed on the contemporary developments and changes in China’s business practices.
b. The Business Management in China
This is an executive-level management course illustrated by examples specific to China. The topics include: comparative management, strategic choice and others that may affect Chinese business behaviors and practices with a purpose to provide international students with a framework for understanding Chinese business world.
c. Legal Dimensions of the Chinese Business World
This course introduces the legal context for doing business in the People’s Republic of China. The course deals with relevant legal institutions and substantive laws, with an emphasis on commercial law matters. The sections may include constitutional law and government structure, civil and economic law, intellectual property law, financial and commercial markets, contract law, taxation.
d. The Chinese Culture All foreign citizens above 18 years old are welcome to join the program.
