Continuing Education College
The Continuing Education College (CEC) is mainly responsible for the on-the-job education and training for adults, including seafarers training.
Shanghai Seafarers Training Center was established in 1984 with the ratification of the Ministry of Communications. The center is the largest base of its kind in China. It has been ranking first in the country for many years in terms of the number of trainees, which accounts for two thirds of the total in China in respect of the training for captain, chief engineer, chief mate and second engineer.
