Russian Department
The Russian Department offers three undergraduate programs – Russian (language and culture, international trade, Russian-English bilingual education), Arabic, and Italian, of which the Russian program leads to Master's degree. The department has an enrollment of about 400 undergraduates and over 40 postgraduates. Both Basic Russian and Advanced Russian are among quality courses at the provincial level with the latter accredited as a quality course at the national level.
Being currently attached to the Russian Department, the Arabic and Italian programs aim at training multi-skilled talents for the fields of foreign affairs, education, cultural exchanges, trade, journalism, the military and other related areas.
It constantly optimizes its resources and maximizes the students’ development in Russian language skills.
It attaches great importance to the fostering of language competence and practical abilities.
It has an excellent faculty, and 35% of its teaching staff are PhDs.

Advanced courses:
Writing, Translation, Advanced Russian,Russian Syntax, Russian Theoretical Grammar, Russian Newspaper and Periodicals Reading, Russian Literature, Russian Culturology, a Study of Russian Issues, Oral Russian, Russian Etiquette,etc.
Courses of the Arabic program:
Basic Arabic, Listening, Conversation, Reading, Grammar, Writing,Interpreting, Translation, Translation Theory and Practice, Political and Diplomatic Affairs in the Arabic Countries and Sino-Arabic Relations, etc.
Courses of the Italian program:
Elementary Italian, Spoken Italian, Audio-Visual Italian, Intermediate Italian, Writing, Grammar, Translation, Interpreting, etc.
