FJMU International Students Got Awards in 2015 College Talent Show for International Students and Students from HongKong, Macao and Taiwan in Fujian

The 2015 College Talent Show for International Students and Students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in Fujian Province sponsored by Fujian Provincial Department of Education and organized by Huaqiao University was held at the Quanzhou Campus of Huaqiao University from December 25, 2015 to December 27, 2015.

     Themed “Love for China, Dream in Fujian”, the event was composed of the finals and the report-back performance. Outstanding programs in the finals were selected for the report-back performance. 19 programs recommended by 13 colleges in Fujian Province including Xiamen University, Huaqiao University, Fuzhou University, Fujian Normal University were shown in the finals. Two programs selected by Huaqiao University got the highest total score and won the First Prize. Four FJMU international students from Micronesia, Vanuatu, South Africa and Zimbabwe performed a song named Sounds of Nature, which skillfully integrated two foreign songs with Chinese song Jasmine in the form of rap, harmony and dance. The song received consistent praise from the judges and audience and was awarded the Second Prize together with other three programs with the second highest total score and selected as one of four programs for the report-back performance with the highest score among all other songs.

     Nearly 200 students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and more than 30 countries, such as Russia, Vietnam, the United States, Korea, India and Canada, took part in the talent show.
