Important Points You Should Know Before Applying Online

1.PayEase: It is a convenient, safe and easy online payment platform, supporting Master Card and VISA cards.
2.PayPal: PayPal is a secure, simple, and convenient way of paying. For those who have not used PayPal before, you can create an account on their website
3.Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants who are currently in China can do a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in CNY
4.Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants who are not in China can pay the application fee in US Dollars by a bank transfer
5.Western Union: For applicants who cannot use T/T or PayPal payments, SICAS recommends you to use Western Union (especially African applicants)
Reminder:Please keep in mind that it is not until the payment has been confirmed will the applied university start for processing. In other words, universities will only start to process the applications which have been paied )

Entry Requirement

General Chinese Program

1)The intensive Chinese Program is applicable to all international students;
2)All applicants without HSK result who apply for degree program are required to attend this program prior to their degree studies.
International Foundation Program

1)Applicants are required to have an O-level qualification equivalent.
2)Qualifications from all countries are considered.
3)Applicants must demonstrate competence in English by meeting SCUT’s
4)Minimum English language requirements: TOEFL 152(Computer-based test) or 470(paper-based test ) or IELTS 5.0 Or Evidence of English ability equivalent to any of the above.
Undergraduate Programs

1)High school graduated;
2)HSK Band 3( New HSK Band 4) for science and/or Engineering studies; Band 6( New HSK 5) for Liberal Arts, Economics and/or Management studies.
3)Those who do not have a HSK certificate can study for one year Chinese Language program at SCUT prior to their degree programs until obtain the corresponding results.
English-Medium Undergraduate Programs

Over 18 years old, high school graduate or above. Applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to submit an IELTS 5.5, or take SCUT’S placement test.
Master Programs

1)Bachelor’s degree holder;
2)HSK Band 3( New HSK Band 4) for Science and/or Engineering studies, Band 6 (New HSK Band 5) for Liberal Arts, Economics and/or Management studies.
