Important Reminding Before Doing Application Online

Please make sure you have well prepared scan or photo copies of the following required documents and be aware of the alternative ways to pay for application fee.

Application Fee

PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT YOUR APPLICATION WON’T BE PROCESSED BY THE SCHOOL UNLESS THE APPLICATION FEE IS PAID. YOU WILL GET THE CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM BOTH THE SICAS APPLICATION SYSTEM AND THE SCHOOL UPON YOUR PAYMENT ARRIVES.

SICAS offers four kinds of payment methods, and you would find your payment details when you doing application online.

1. PayPal: Payments made through Paypal are safe, easy and convenient. If you have used Paypal in the past, please click the PayPal button on the webpage of "Make Payment" and follow the directions.

2. Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants overseas can use bank transfer to pay the application fee in US Dollars.

3. Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants in China can use a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in RMB.

4. Western Union: SICAS recommends applicants who are inconvient with T/T or PayPal payments use Western Union (especially African applicants).

Admission

Short-term Programs

• Summer classes: mid June thru mid September, 1-week, 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week classes.
• Winter classes: mid December thru mid February, 1-week, 2-week, and 4-week classes.

Chinese Language Program

• Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or a college diploma.
• Application Time: Any time.
• Enrollment time: February 25th March 1st ; August 25th September 1st, or as stated in the admission notice issued by Jilin University. Under special circumstances, students may enroll any time.
• Length of the program: 1 semester 2 years( 4 semesters).

Undergraduate programs

• Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years old; at least with a high school diploma. The applicants have adequate Chinese language proficiency (HSK Band 3 for science, and engineering students, Band 6 for humanities and social science). The students whose Chinese language is not proficient enough may enroll first in a one-year Intensive Chinese Language Study Program.
• Application time: March 1st --July 30th.
• Enrollment time: August 25th September 1st or as stated in the admission notice issued by the university.
• Length of the program: 4 years for baccalaureate degree (5 years for medical students)

MBBS Program

• Deadline for mailing in the application materials is the end of August for fall semester enrollment; the end of February for spring semester.
• At least 18 years old.
• high school graduate or above, or have passed Grade Twelve (10+2)/FSc./A Level/WAEC or equivalent.
• With an average score of 65%.

Graduate Programs

• Requirements:
  Master's candidate: has a bachelor's degree; HSK band 6 or above.
  Doctoral candidate: has a master's degree; HSK band 6 or above. 
  Note: No need for HSK for attending courses which are not taught in Chinese.
• Application time: March 1st May 30th.
• Enrollment time: August 25th September 1st or as stated in the admission notice issued by Jilin University.
• Length of the program : 3 years

Graduate Program Taught in English

• Requirement:
  Master Degree: Foreign students in good health with related diploma and bachelor degree;
  Doctoral Degree: Foreign students in good health with related diploma and master degree
• International students applying for studying in English Medium do not have to pass HSK when applying.
• Time for Application: March 1——August 27
• Time for Enrollment: August 28——September 1
• Duration of Study: 3 years

MBBS Program ( in English )

1. A photocopy of the applicant's passport;
2. Passport-size photo;
3. A photocopy of the official high school graduate certificate;
4. Academic record: a photocopy of the transcript (including courses taken and standard achieved);
5. Foreigner Physical Examination Record

Master's Degree Programs

1. One passport-sized photo
2. A copy of bachelor's degree diploma or certificate (copies should be notarized)
3. A copy of corresponding transcripts (copies should be notarized)
4. Two recommendations by professors
5. Band 6 or above certificate of HSK examination (Not needed for English taught programs)
6. A copy of completed Physical Examination Record Form
7. Copy of passport

Doctoral Degree Program

1. One passport-sized photo
2. A copy of master's degree diploma or certificate (copies should be notarized)
3. A copy of corresponding transcripts (copies should be notarized)
4. Two recommendations by professors
