Planing for a bright future without Afraid of Heavy Responsibilities --The congress of Undergraduate School of Zhejiang University

The congress of Undergraduate School of Zhejiang University was successfully held at East 1B-210 Room on the afternoon of February 24th, 2011. All the staff gathered together to discuss how to carry out all the work in this new semester.

Jin Haiyan, Head of Student's Work, attached great importance to the focus of stabilizing the work this year. Zhong Weiming , Secretary of the staff 's Party General Branch , mentioned that the branch activities of the five departments should be carried out in a regular and orderly way. The development and cultivation of young comrades should be effective . Liu Xiangdong , Dean of Studies introduced the work of educating and teaching to all members. Lou Chengfu, Director of Teaching Quality and Resource Office , developed his speech in the terms of the management of teaching quality and resources. He Qinming, Vice President of Undergraduate School and President of Seeking Truth Academy ,approached to the part of the students' political and ideological work and administration. Lu Guodong, Vice President of Undergraduate School and Chu Kochen Honors College and Dean of Education Research , emphasized the discipline and efficiency of all staff's work and recommended several items of key work .

In the end, Cheng Jin, executive vice-president of Undergraduate School and Chu Kochen Honors College made a conclusion . On the theme of Accomplishing Planning Outline Seriously and Implementing Ten Suggestions Penetratingly, he made a summary as follows.First,the education and teaching quality should be improved in order to change China from a country of tremendous population to a country of profound human resource, from a country with a large-scale higher education to a country with developed and high-quality higher education. And the suggestions made in the teaching conferences should be carried out seriously with a strong sense of historical responsibility. Second, the goal of our education is to cultivate the students to be builders and successors with ideals, morals and innovative spirits. Third, the undergraduate educating and teaching environment should be improved. To realize it , teaching and scientific research need to be better cooperated in terms of deepening their interaction and using scientific research to nurture teaching. What’s more, the innovation and entrepreneurship spirit of the students should be encouraged and developed . fourth, the educational technology needs to be further perfected in order to promote and realize the construction of the school's mobile and network curriculum. Finally,vice-president Chen expected to have a promising future with the efforts of all the teachers.
