Nanjing University of Science and Technology was derived from the Institute of Military Engineering of the PLA which was the highest institution of military technology in China and was established in 1953.Nanjing University of Science and Technology is one of the national key universities under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The university was changed to its current name in 1993. Following the teaching concepts of “People first, social commitment and learnedness” derived from fifty years of development, and upholding the motto
Unity, dedication, pursuit for truth and innovation”, it has become one of the key universities under the national “Project 211.” NUST incorporates science, engineering, liberal arts, economics, business, management, law and education for coordinated development. Currently, the university has 27,520 registered students, including 7902 graduate students (Master’s and PH.D).

Following the fine tradition of the Institute of Military Engineering of the PLA, keeping pace with the times, and forging ahead, the university is spiritedly  marching towards status as a first-class“Research oriented” university of China as well as a world-famous university. Various education and research institutes at home and abroad are welcome to conduct in-depth exchange and cooperation with us.
