Objectives

The international economics and trade is designed to provide students with the specific knowledge and analytical skills they need to take advantage of the opportunities created by the 
economic globalization and the growing interdependence of the economies of nations. The program draws from a rich economics and management education combined with abundant knowledge in all the functional areas of international trade. After graduated, the students can work in foreign trade companies in their own country, transnational corporations, banks and governments.

Semester


The school year can be divided into three semesters. The summer semester commences from early September and ends at the end of September. The autumn semester begins from early October and ends at the end of January the following year, and then the winter vacation follows. The spring semester starts in the middle of February and ends in early July, and then the summer vacation starts.

Teaching

The teaching lasts 4 weeks for the first semester in which students may have lectures or do internships, 16 weeks for the second and third semesters in which students study all courses. Besides, there are 2 weeks suspended before the end of second and third semesters during which students can make preparation for final examinations.

Credits Requirements

The total number of credits for students of science and engineering is 170 or so (the number of credits for theoretical subjects is about 140 and about 30 for practice). The total number of credits for students of arts, economics and management is 160. Each student is required to complete at least 20 credits in a semester.

5. Certificate of English proficiency test

It is better to upload your IELTS or TOEFL results when you are applying for a course taught in English, especially for those non-native English speakers, even though it is not a compulsory condition in some of the universities.
