School of Humanities and Social Sciences
The School of Humanities& Social Sciences consists of Department of Chinese Language & Literature, Department of History, Department of Politics, Departmentof Philosophy, and four research institutes: Institute of Philosophy of Science & Technology, Institute of Ethics, Institute of Modern Economics and Institute of Modern Chinese History. The school employs 81 staff members, including 13 full professors and 30 associate professors. The school offers three master’s degree programs and five bachelor’s degree programs. The master’s degree programs include Principles of Marxism, Ideological and Political Education, Marxist Philosophy. The bachelor’s degree programs are: Chinese Language & Literature Education, Ideological and Political Education, History Education, Advance Bilingual Secretary, and Chinese as a Foreign Language. The school has an enrollment of 681 postgraduate and undergraduate students. Committed to developing high quality innovative professionals, the school places a high premium on disciplinary construction, undergraduate education and academic research. In addition, the school attaches great importance to international academic exchange. It has co-sponsored three Intensive Chinese Courses with the Sino-Japan Friendship Association and sent teachers abroad for academic visits.
