Northeastern University (NEU) is located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. It is one of China’s most prominent universities and is designated as one of the national key schools.
The university is one of China"s high level universities designated for the state key construction of the "211 Project" and "985 Project".
High Level of Engineering Disciplines
Being a multi-discipline university focusing on engineering, while having kept the edge in traditional disciplines such as mining, material science, metallurgy and mechanical sciences, NEU has made headway in some of the newly rising and cross-disciplinary disciplines such as automation, computer science, and other high-tech disciplines. It has established an academic exchange relationship with 152 universities and institutions in 31 countries and regions, and has invited over 2000 overseas experts to teach, give lectures and cooperate in study at NEU. NEU lecturers have performed over 5000 overseas visits for further study, research cooperation and to give lectures, which promotes NEU’s academic level.
Convenient Transportation
Airlines here can reach multi-domestic and international cities. As one of the largest transition stations, Shenyang has two railway stations altogether. Meanwhile, Shenyang is found in the center of Liaoning highway net. Favored with a very good public transportation system, there are more than 3,000 city buses running on over 140 lines here.
