About LCU1. History of LCU Liaocheng University (LCU), a provincial comprehensive university, is located in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, which is a famous national historical and cultural city known as “Water City North of the Yangtze River.” LCU was founded in 1974 as of Shandong Teachers’ College, Liaocheng Branch. In 1981, with the approval of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Liaocheng Branch was renamed as Liaocheng Teachers’ College. And then in 2002, approved by the Ministry of Education of the PRC, LU adopted its present name.
2. Programs
and Disciplines: LCU now has 25 colleges, 9 research institute, 34 master programs and 91 bachelor programs involving philosophy, economy, laws, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management,art, medicine and so on. The total students are more than 30000.
3. Faculty: LCU now has Full-time teachers 1900 including 226 professors, 654 associate professors. It has 2 experts for the national " Thousand Talents Program", and has 7 "Taishan scholars" and foreign exports. LCU now owns 11 experts who can enjoy the special allowance of the state council, 5 national outstanding teachers and 6 provincial outstanding teaching teams. Mr. Ji Xianlin, the master of Oriental Studies, is the honorary President of LU. Professor and doctorial supervisor Cheng Yuhai is the Secretary of the Party Committee of LU, and Professor and doctorial supervisor Song Yiqiao is the current President.
4. International
cooperation: Active in international cooperation in recent years, LCU has established cooperative relationship with over 20 countries and areas including Hong Kong Macau and Taiwan, Until now there are 30 cooperative and exchange programs between LCU and the above countries and areas.
