International Cultural Exchange School
SUFE has the International Cultural Exchange School (ICES) , which is devoted to the education of foreign students. Education of international students began at SUFE in 1964. The earliest international students of SUFE came from Vietnam. Founded in 2001, ICES enrolls students who have won Chinese Government Scholarships or Native Government Scholarships, as well as students studying at their own expense.
ICES offers multi-level educational opportunities , including doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate degree programs and language training programs. As of 2009, there were more than 1100 international students from over 90 countries studying at SUFE. Seventy percent of international students at SUFE are degree-seeking students.
The Chinese language training courses emphasize the use of the language in business. In 2001, SUFE established the undergraduate major Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. And in 2006, ICES established a master’s degree major Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. In addition to long-term training, we also provide short-term Chinese language training programs. Consider ICES SUFE your first choice to study in China.
