1 Insurance purchase 1.1 All international students are required to join an insurance program All international students are required to purchase insurance including at least Accident Injury Medical Treatment and Hospitalization Medical Treatment in their own countries or in China. 1.2 For the international students who have purchased insurance in their own countries Upon enrollment, the international students who have purchased insurance in their own countries are required to submit the original copy of insurance receipt and fill form Insurance Proclamation to ensure the insurance’s validity when they are studying in China. 1.3 For the international students who purchase insurance in China Ping An Insurance Company of China provides the international students who have not purchased insurance in their own countries with insurance programs such as accident injury insurance, which costs 600 RMB one year and 300 RMB for half a year. Tel: 021-32034600*6679 Fax：021-62078917 / 62714709 Mobile Phone：13482515338 2 Claim Settlement 2.1 Hospitalization because of diseases 2.1.1 Contact Beijing Universal Medical Assistance Co., Ltd The international student to be hospitalized for diseases should contact Student Affair Office of International Cultural Exchange School of SUFE immediately, which will report the case and the name of the hospital to Beijing Universal Medical Assistance Co., Ltd, the assistance organization authorized by Ping An Insurance Company of China. Beijing Universal Medical Assistance Co., Ltd will arrange hospitalization with the student. 24-hour emergency hotline: 400-65006119, 010-64079595. The case is also to be reported to the college or department the student is studying in. 2.1.2 Billing service a. The insured international student is to receive treatment in the hospitals of the Network of Medical Service Providers authorized by International Assistance Center of Ministry of Health of China. (You can find lists of hospitals in Diagram 1 or on website: www.csc.edu.cn) b. Within 24 hours after admission to hospital, the photocopy of the first page of the student’s passport should be submitted to teachers in Student Affair Office of International Cultural Exchange School of SUFE c. If for some reason it is impossible to report the case to Beijing Universal Medical Assistance Co., Ltd, one can directly contact International Student Insurance Office of Ping An Insurance Company of China in working days (8:00-18:00, Monday to Friday). d. If there is no hospital of the Network of Medical Service Providers authorized by International Assistance Center available where the student is hospitalized, the student pays the bill by him/herself first and then sends all the bill receipt to Ping An Insurance Company of China to file a claim. The medical fee should be reasonably charged by public hospitals of level three or higher level except the medical fee of accident injury treatment, and will be reimbursed according to the standard of free medical service issued by the health administrative section of the local government. e. The cases prescribed by the articles of liability besides hospitalization medical insurance are to be dealt with according to existent regulations. f. Billing service procedure is the same with that of hospitalization because of diseases. The case is also to be reported to the college or department the student is studying in. 2.2.2 Billing service Hospital diagnosis proof, hospitalization receipt, original copy of the receipt of detailed document of hospitalization, medical bill related to the hospitalization before and after hospitalization, and Letter of Introduction for Reimbursement carrying the university’s seal are required for the reimbursement of the medical fee of hospitalization paid by the university, college, teachers, or students. 2.2.3 Settlement of claims The students with accident injury report to teachers in Student Affair Office of International Cultural Exchange School of SUFE, who in turn reports the case to Ping An Insurance Company of China for settlement of claims. The insured shall be responsible for paying medical expenses exceeding the maximum Limit of Benefits to the medical providers directly.
