1. Q: How to choose a suitable university which offers the best Chinese language courses?


A: First, you can choose the university according to the official rankings.
Second, you can refer to the locations of universities and choose the best city you want to stay.
Finally, you ought to make a decision based on the above mentioned and the situations of different universities.

2. Q: What are the entry requirements of Chinese language courses?

A: In general, universities offering the long-term language courses or the short-term language courses 
will accept students with any educational background. So the entry requirements are relatively loose.

A: Generally speaking, we can divide them into two kinds: the long-term language course, the short-term language 
course. The former one will last about one semester or one year and the latter one will be about 4 weeks or 8 weeks.

A: Genearlly speaking, there are two semesters in Chinese Universities: Spring Semester and Autumn Semester. 
For Spring Semester( usually starts from March), the application deadline isJanuary 31 of each year.
For Autumn  Semester( usually starts from March), the application deadline is July 31 of each year.
The specific time of each school may be different. You should refer to the deadline of your chosen university to apply in time.

A: First, their durations are different.  the long-term will last about one semester or one year; the short-term language course will be about 4 weeks or 8 weeks.
Second, their course arrangements are not the same. The long-term language course is designed for 
students who plan to spend an exclusive period learning Chinese to improve the overall level, while the 
short-term language course is designed to arouse students’ interest of studying Chinese in a short time
and improve their Chinese communication skills.

6. Q: What Chinese level will I reach after learning the long-term language course?

A: You will be able to communicate competently in Chinese and acquire cross-cultural communication 
abilities and can reach a certain level in HSK: level 3 or above.

A: When you first apply through SICAS online admission system, SICAS will charge a processing fee of 50 USD. 
And the application fee of a Chinese university is usually between 60-120 USD depending on schools and types
of courses.

A: NO. One thing should be clarified is that students majoring Chinese language in any university of China
 will be awarded non-degree.

A: HSK is the People’s Republic of China’s only standardized test of Standard Mandarin Chinese proficiency 
for non-native speakers, namely foreign students, overseas Chinese, and members of ethnic minority groups 
in China.

12. Q: How long will HSK Certificates be valid for?

A: The HSK certificate has a permanent validity, whereas the accompanying test report will only be valid for two 
years (beginning from the date of the test session) as the certification for foreign students to enter a college
