Wenzhou once had waterways leading to Shanghai, Hong Kong and other cities. However, due to the development of the railways and airlines many cruise lines have been canceled, leaving only several lines to the nearby counties and scenic locations. There are two main wharfs: An Lan Wharf and Wang Jiang Harbor. There you can take the ordinary or express ships to Dongtou Scenic Spot, Da Mai Yu Island and Nanji Islands.
