Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport
An important trunk line airport and a hub of air traffics in China, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport was built in 1994 under the 4E standards and put into service in 1997. The airport is located in Xinzheng City, 37km (23 miles) southeast to Zhengzhou City. Its terminal, which was designed as a huge flying bird, covers an area of 46,000 sq m (11 acres) and is capable of handling 3,800,000 passengers every year. Well-equipped, the 3,400-meter-long (2 miles) runway is available for a full-loaded B747-400 and the parking apron offers 12 parking spaces for large airplanes. Over 60 air routes connect the airport to 45 domestic and international cities and areas, including Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and Singapore, etc.Airport Transportation: Airport shuttles pick up passengers at the Civil Aviation Hotel (Jinshui Lu, Zhengzhou) every hour from 6 am to 6 pm while they set off from the airport upon the flight schedules. Zhengzhou, where the Longhai Railway meets the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway, is a major national railway hub. It is located on the Shijiazhuang–Wuhan High-Speed Railway and is easy to reach by high-speed train from Beijing (2.5 hours) Hong Kong (7 hours) and Xi'an (2 hours) and by normal train from Shanghai (6–14 hours).
In the new national high-speed railway network under construction, Zhengzhou to Shanghai will be completed in late 2016. The high-speed railway network provides fast train service from the city to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xi'an and Wuhan at a speed of 350 km/h (220 mph). The new high-speed railway station (the Zhengzhou Dong Station), is the largest in Asia.

The surrounding area of Zhengzhou, along with the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and the Bohai Economic Rim, has the highest highway density nationwide. Zhengzhou is the center of Henan highway network that provides roughly one hour road trip to the surrounding cities of Kaifeng, Xinxiang, Xuchang, Jiaozuo and Luoyang. Other major cities within the province can be reached in 3 hours. National highway network also links Zhengzhou to all major cities in the country.
Zhengzhou highway traffic is very convenient. It has more than 10 inter-city bus station and three main long-distance bus terminal. There are long-distance buses to the surrounding provinces and the province's major cities.
Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is 37 km southeast of the city centre, about an hour’s drive. It is the only civil airport in Zhengzhou. There are lots of flight pathways and it is the quickest way to Zhengzhou. You can take the airport shuttle bus to the center of the city or hail a taxi. The airport shuttle bus will depart every 10 or 30 minutes depending on the passenger volume. The taxi will take you about 150RMB.
The first project of Zhengzhou Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System was completed in 2009, which provides a 30 kilometres long circle line (B1) along the Second Ring Road in the city. The BRT B1 buses run on exclusive lanes at both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. There are branch BRT routes linking B1 route and other important part of the city.
All the buses in Zhengzhou has no conductor on it. Buses with "1" at the beginning are trolleys. Ones with "2" at the beginning are special minibus. And ones beginning with a "Y" are night line.All the buses’ price is 1RMB a time.
