Insurance:

International students staying in China over six months shouldpurchase medicalinsurance according to the Provisional Rules of International Student Insurance Purchase Requirement of Higher Education Institutions by the Ministry of Education.

Residence Permit

Six-month residence permit fee: RMB 400

Twelve-month residence permit fee: RMB 800

Physical Examination: RMB 700

Everyone with X1/S1 visa is required to take a physical examination before applying for the first residence permit in China.
