Notes for International Students In order to regulate the management of international students, the following notes are made according to China’s laws and related regulations. Every international student studying in Yunnan University of Finance and Economics (YUFE) must read them carefully and pledge to abide by them. 1．During study period, you must obey China’s laws，observe regulations of YUFE and respect China’s customs and public morals. 2. During study period, you are not allowed to take any paid job or engage in any forms of business. 3. Your religions and customs are usually respected. However, you should be aware that YUFE by no means provides places for religious ceremonies. Moreover, you are not allowed to preach any religions or hold religious gatherings on campus. 4. YUFE offers accommodation for international students. Approved by the university, you can live off campus, but required to register at the police bureau branch in your living area once moved to the new place. After that, your specific address must be notified to International cooperation & exchange office of YUFE with registered form, 1 photo and passport in 10 days. The office will help you to do address change declaration in police bureau. You have to take good care of your safety while living off campus; otherwise, the university will not take any responsibility for you. 5. You should strictly obey YUFE’S safety regulations and pay great attention to your own safety. Any actions which may result in dangers are forbidden. It’s your responsibility to report to the university in time any hidden dangers that may occur. If you violate university regulations, you have to take all responsibility for the consequence. 6. You should study hard in YUFE. Your tuitions can’t be refunded if you are expelled by the university due to violation of its regulations. 7. For those who plan to study for more than one year, a student identification card can be issued upon application; for those who plan to study for less than one year, only a student certificate can be offered upon application. 8. You are not permitted to alter or counterfeit any part of your documents. Otherwise you will be punished by the law. 9. The need to get a new visa or have a visa extended should be reported to the international cooperation & exchange office 15 days in advance. Your applications for residence permit will be processed according to relevant regulations of police bureaus. The valid term of your residence permit depends on your study period in YUFE. 10. Any problems could be reported directly to International cooperation &exchange office where considerate and warm service is always guaranteed.
